News
Chester’s Dee 106.3 broadcasts local, national and world news during bulletins between 0700 and 1800 weekdays. On both Saturday and Sundays we run local, national and international news between 0800 and 1400. News and sport headlines are available every half hour during breakfast and afternoon drive programming at 0730, 0830, 1630, 1730 on weekdays. Overnight national news bulletins are available on the hour running from 1900 to 0500 inclusive from Sky News Radio.

Chester’s Dee 106.3 programmes are locally produced and presented between 0600 – 1900 hours (Mon – Fri), 0600 – 1800 (Sat) and 0800 – 1800 (Sun) from our Chester studios, based just off Sealand Road at 2 Chantry Court, Chester, CH1 4QN. Outside of these hours external network programming is taken. During weekday daytime Monday to Friday, 1 hour of programming is an automated feature. During the weekend daytime period, all programming is live from our Chester studios.

Events/charities support or coverage
Chester’s Dee 106.3 supports various charities within the area, including Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Miles of Smiles Childrens Charity, Claire House Hospice, Chester Zoo and Countess of Chester Cancer Charity. Past events include hosting bring a pound to work day in aid of McMillan Cancer Relief.

Recent Highlights
Chester’s Dee 106.3 received special recognition at the 2006 Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards in the Station of the Year category, with former programme manager Phil Rodgers nominated for UK Commercial Radio Programmer of the Year. The station hosted a brand new event at Chester Racecourse in Summer 2006, Chester Live 2 huge outdoor concerts featuring Westlife and Van Morrison. Over 10,000 people attended the event across the weekend. Miles of Smiles children’s charity held their annual trip to Disneyland Paris, sending over 40 Chester youngsters to the resort in conjunction with the station for the weekend. We take a keen interest in local sport continuing to support Chester City and our BBL team Cheshire Jets.
