BLUES MATCH PREVIEW: CHESTER FC v TAMWORTH

Chester FC host high flying Tamworth this weekend looking to extend another unbeaten run.

Tuesday’s narrow victory over 4th placed Brackley Town saw George Glendon score his seventh of the campaign and lead the Blues to a 1-0 win, making it four unbeaten in the process.

The victory saw Calum McIntyre’s side move up to 8th in the table, and they could end Saturday back inside the play-off places with a positive result against another side near the top of the National League North.

THE OPPOSITION:

Tamworth have had an excellent start to life back in the sixth tier, sitting second in the league, just two points behind Scunthorpe United with this being their game in hand.

They could return to the top of the table with victory this weekend down CH1, with Scunthorpe in FA Trophy action. Andy Peaks’ men have the best defensive record in the league, having conceded just 14 goals in their 20 matches.
