Cheshire West and Chester Council is supporting Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Parks Week 2023.
The Council is responsible for 19 country parks, woodlands, and nature reserves, seven urban community parks and 110 play areas across west Cheshire.
Information on the borough’s parks, open spaces and play areas has recently been updated on the Council’s website and now includes interactive mapping.
During Love Parks Week the Council will showcase a selection of parks and play areas across the borough on social media, encouraging residents and visitors to get outdoors in the borough.
Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said:
“Love Parks Weeks is an ideal opportunity for us all to celebrate our wonderful parks and open spaces.
A park is an excellent place to get some fresh air and boost your mental health, and you’ll also be doing your part to preserve your local park’s resources for future generations by making regular use of them. So, take a walk to your nearest park and appreciate its many benefits.
“Our website also has helpful tips on things to look out for in nature while you’re out and about in our beautiful parks.”
