The Cheshire Rural Crime Team are trying to raise public awareness about the issue of livestock worrying and attacks by dogs.
We have generally seen an increase in worrying and attacks of late and we are still trying our upmost to spread the message to the public about using leads in rural areas.
We speak to many people in the aftermath of attack who quite simply never believed their dog capable of an attack or felt that they had walked the same route for many years without incident.
The fact is that any dog is capable, and it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that this simply does not happen (or face the consequences of a dog's actions!).
Cheshire Police are asking people to pledge that they understand and will act responsibly. If you wish to do this, you can catch up with us at events we will be holding throughout Cheshire.
We will be at Ness Gardens car park Ellesmere Port on the 26th of October.
(If you wish to enter the gardens separately there is an admission charge.)
