Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network - Annual Networking Day

Groups and individuals in the voluntary and community arts sector across West Cheshire are invited to a networking event on Saturday 14th September, 12.40pm to 3.30pm at Theatre Porto in Ellesmere Port.

Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network is running the event with the support of Cheshire West and Chester Council. 

Councillor Lisa Denson, Cabinet Member for A Fairer Future will be sharing a Cheshire West Cultural Services update during the event.

Said Councillor Denson:

“This event is a great opportunity to meet informally with other likeminded groups and talk about issues and opportunities. 

“There will be a range of speakers sharing information, updates and offering attendees help and support. Thanks to Theatre Porto for hosting the event this year and for anyone who has not seen this brilliant building now is your chance.” 

The afternoon will include:

A playful 'Hangout' session led by Theatre Porto's Associate Director, Phil Cross

'A merging of Theatre Porto's 'Saturday Family Hangout' and the CWVA 'Networking event'. Get creative, find your playfulness and share ideas whilst getting to know each other and your organisations.'

Grant Funding Tactics, how getting your tactics right can increase your chances of success with securing grant funding (Presentation: Stephen Wright, Grant Funding Skills Ltd).  Stephen has worked in fundraising in Cheshire since 1998.  He has supported with schools, charities, community groups to help them secure grant funding.   

The afternoon offers an opportunity to discuss and share ways to support members and audiences back to activity post-Covid and share what organisations are currently doing.
