In the CWFL Cayzer Shield first round, Waggon & Horse Reserves and Sutton Athletic Reserves ended 90 minutes level at 1-1. A bullet header from Luke Jones put Waggon one up only for Carlos Afonso to level matters for Sutton. With both sides cancelling each other out in the second half, the match went to penalties, where Waggon & Horse triumphed 4-2. In another tight contest, Chester Nomads Fourths defeated Ellesmere Port U21 3-2. Goals from George Cartwright, Leon Willman, and Richard Birtwistle ensured Nomads progressed.
In the Queensferry Premier Division, Kelsall with goals from Mikey Taylor and an own goal could not hold on as Handbridge mounted a comeback, with Ryan Bardley, Luke Simm, Jake Tong, and Rhys Roberts finding the net to secure all three points for Handbridge. Meanwhile, Cestrian Alex and Hoole Rovers played out a 2-2 draw, with Matt Gilmour and Rich Deponeo scoring for Cestrian.
In the Tarvin Precision CWFL Vets League, Tarvin Vets climb to second place in Division 3 after a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Eastham Vets, with goals from Joey Ghader and Adam Butcher. In Division 4, Upton JFC Vets moved to the top of the table after a 2-1 win over Frodsham Vets, with Matt Norton and Gary O’Reily scoring for Upton. Frodsham’s Rob Davies netted their only goal. Hoole Rangers were dominant in a 6-1 victory over Dee Rangers, with goals from Matt Steel, Paul Morris, Ash English, Alec Hutchinson, Dave Williams, and Dave Hughes. Dee Rangers' sole goal came from Chris Scutter.
Division 5 action seen Poulton Athletic Vets take a 3-point lead at the top after a dominating 3-0 victory over Great Sutton Vets. A brace from Aidan Ryan and a strike from Redmond Bush secured the points for Poulton. Meanwhile at the other end of the table Hoole Wanderers made light work of their 6-2 victory over Frodsham Park Reserves, netting for Hoole was Norbert Vincze, Charlie Cooke, Duane Millington, Tom Swinburne, Will Campbell and Oghenetejiro Omoghene Anidi.
