Chester Town Hall, the Eastgate Clock and Newgate Bridge will be illuminated in red and white light from 8pm on Wednesday 7 July to celebrate the kick-off of England’s semi-final match in EURO 2020.
Football fans across the borough will be on the edge of their seats on Wednesday evening when England play Denmark for a place in the EURO 2020 final.
The Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Strategic Transport, Councillor Karen Shore said: “I’m delighted our Street Lighting team has been able to demonstrate how the Council is behind England in their semi-final game.
“I’m sure this will be a fitting tribute and, as darkness falls and the lights will be seen in their full glory, we’ll know the final result!”
