Eaton Golf Club Swings into Action at Charity Golf Day

Eaton Golf Club Group has raised an impressive £10,100 for the Countess of Chester Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Society, with a Charity Pro-Am Golf Day held in conjunction with Sandstone Care Group.

The event, which took place on 6 June, saw golfers take to the green for some friendly competition between local businesses in a Pro-Am Tournament.

The funds raised will be donated to the Countess of Chester Hospital Coronary Care Unit, which supports those with serious heart conditions as well as people recovering from coronary surgery, and the Alzheimer's Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity which supports people living with dementia and funds research into the condition.

Participants came together for an 18-hole tournament sponsored by Sandstone Care Group and hosted by Eaton Golf Club in the scenic Cheshire countryside.

Gary Staniford, club captain at Eaton Golf Club, said:

“Our Pro-Am golf day is always a fantastic event, bringing local and North West businesses together for a little bit of healthy competition!

“We’re thrilled to have raised such great amount for two extremely deserving causes and we cannot thank those who took part enough – here’s to next year’s tournament and raising even more funds!”

Local companies, such as Datascope, Horizon Flooring, Pinnacle Electric, Saka Foods and Aldford Apparel, all played their part in the tournament in the shared spirit of fundraising for important causes.

Ben Challinor, Director at Sandstone Care Group, said:

“We’re really proud to have sponsored this brilliant charity initiative, and it’s great to see local businesses come together to support such important causes through some friendly competition at Eaton Golf Club.

“Both the Countess and the Alzheimer’s Society are causes are very close to our hearts. These organisations are vital to supporting the needs of older people and very much align with our mission to deliver exemplary care across our nine homes.

“We’d like to thank all of our participants for their contributions towards the fundraising grand total, which will help these organisations to continue carrying out their vital work.”
