Four men arrested following Ellesmere Port drugs raids

Detectives in Ellesmere Port have arrested four men in connection with the supply of illegal drugs, following a series of dawn raids across the town.

At around 7am today, Wednesday 8 February, officers conducted four warrants at address on Pembridge Court, Leven Walk and Hampton Gardens.

Four men, aged 26, 27, 28 and 57, were arrested at the address on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

While searching the properties officers also recovered a large quantity of class A drugs and approximately £900 cash.

Detective Constable Wellings, of Ellesmere Port Proactive CID, said: “Todays warrants are the culmination of an ongoing investigation into the supply of crack cocaine in the Ellesmere Port area.

“In addition to the arrests, we have also been able to remove a large quantity of crack cocaine which was destined for the streets of our town.

“We know that these drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on communities, causing widespread misery, which is we are committing to doing all we can to cut off supplies of illegal drugs and removing dealers from our communities.

“However, there is only so much we can do ourselves. We need the public to be our eyes and ears and to come forward with information regarding drug dealing in the areas they live in.

“If you have any information about illegal drug activity or any other criminal activity taking place, please report it to us on 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, and we will do the rest.”
