Cheshire West and Chester Council and Brio are inviting residents to visit an informal drop-in, on 6th November at Frodsham Leisure Centre between 4 pm and 7 pm, to find out about the emerging plans for improving local facilities for health and well-being.
Councillor Adam Langan, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People said:
“Frodsham is an important site for delivery of leisure, library, health and well-being services and the Council has been working closely with Brio to engage with stakeholders and residents to understand demand and refine options so that we have a clear and deliverable plan for improvements that we know residents would like to see.
“While no formal decisions have been taken yet, we want to give residents an opportunity to hear first-hand where we are in this process, share feedback received to date and also give people the chance to talk directly with staff involved in the emerging project.
“Frodsham library is a valued resource and we want to re-assure residents that all options being considered retain the co-location of the library with leisure and health facilities in this location as we know so many people visit both facilities within a single trip.”
Matt Parker, Brio’s Managing Director said:
“It is great to see the project moving forward and with the centre going from strength to strength in terms of membership, classes and number of sports clubs using the facility. We are committed to working with the Council to build on this to further support and improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.”
Following the drop-in session, information about the project will be on display in the centre, so anyone unable to attend on the day, can pick up a flyer and have a chat to staff at their next visit.
