Local Chester Actor Shines in Major Hollywood Movie "Wicked".

The 26-year-old performer appears as a "Winkie Mother" in the film's dazzling opening sequence, showcasing her acting, singing, and dancing alongside Grande, who plays the part of 'Glinda'.

 

Following her successful casting, Jasmine spent an unforgettable month in April 2023 on set in Hertfordshire. She worked with the film's production team, which included acclaimed director Jon M. Chu. 

 

Reflecting on the experience, Jasmine shared:

Beyond her on-screen role, Jasmine's vocal talents shine on the movie's soundtrack. She sings on the song "No One Mourns the Wicked," delivering a few solo lines under the recording guidance of Stephen Schwartz, the legendary composer and lyricist behind the original Broadway production.

 

Jasmine's passion for the performing arts began at Upton High School and was nurtured at the Hammond School in Chester. She graduated from East 15 Acting School, one of the UK's leading institutions for acting, where she honed her skills in acting and singing. This solid foundation has supported her ongoing career in the industry.

During the four weeks of filming and recording, Jasmine shared her on-set thoughts and experiences:

Jasmine first experienced the magic of Wicked when she watched the musical in London at the age of 12. At the time, she never imagined she would one day appear in the movie adaptation. Her role in the Wicked movie marks a significant milestone in her career, bringing her talent to audiences worldwide.
