Six men have been arrested during early morning strikes today (Tuesday 31 January) as part of a police investigation into the supply of cocaine in Blacon.
Officers raided nine addresses across Blacon following an eight-month investigation by Chester Proactive CID.
Six people, from Blacon were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs:
- A 30-year-old man
- A 35-year-old man
- A 27-year-old man
- An 18-year-old man
- A 52-year-old man
- A 27-year-old man
A quantity of drugs and cash have been seized during the activity.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Needham said: “Today we have disrupted a criminal enterprise that had attempted to infiltrate the streets of Blacon.
“Our officers have been working tirelessly to identify and detain each member of the gang following our lengthy investigation into the supply of cocaine in the area.
“Following the strikes today, patrols will remain in the area and I would urge any residents with concerns to speak to one of the officers.
“Action such as this shows how we are continuing in the fight against illegal drugs in our community and will continue to do all we can to disrupt these gangs from bringing these substances into Cheshire.”
