Taste Cheshire are proud to be part of the Chester Food and Drink community and the wider community of organisations supporting local people.
The Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Festival will be entering its 21st year at Easter, when the festival takes place once again at Its home, Chester Racecourse. Taste Cheshire are proud to be part of the Chester Food and Drink community and the wider community of organisations supporting local people. As a regular highlight of the Chester events calendar the team are excited to announce the partnership this year, of the festival with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, another enduring Chester Institution.
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd help families across Cheshire and Deeside with palliative care, serving across a variety of disciplines. They offer care to both the patients and their support systems, provided totally free of charge at the point of delivery. The dedicated team of staff and healthcare professionals are available to help patients, friends, families, and carers through difficult and painful times and provide practical, emotional, social and spiritual support. To fund this vital care, they rely on the generosity of the local communities to continue the crucial work of the Hospice.
Taste Cheshire CEO, Briony Wilson said, “We are so proud to be entering this partnership with the Hospice, our aim is to help them raise as many donations as possible. We hope to raise several thousand pounds to support the brilliant work that they do. Having personally visited their facilities the support and offering is remarkable, and we are so happy to be working with them and supporting them where we can. We hope you will join us in this endeavour, so we have created a special code for supporters who wish to come to the festival, which is SHEPHERD22. This code not only gives anyone who uses it 20% off the entry prices but for every ticket purchased using this code we will donate a further £1 to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. The Hospice will have a presence at the festival, and we are currently working with the team to come up with as many ways to get involved and most importantly raise those donations.
“We are thrilled to be selected as Taste Cheshire’s charity partner and being invited to be a part of the Food and Drink festival. Not only will allow it us to raise the much-needed funds to keep the Hospice running with ticket sales and donations, but we will be able to engage with our community in a totally new way. We are here to serve our community and to be involved in such a massive, iconic Chester event brings our community together even more.” Sam Eastwood, Community Fundraiser.
Headline celebrity chefs for this year’s event are soon to be announced and they will be supported by a brilliant selection of local Chefs. Don’t forget the festival have free kids cooking classes from the Royal Academy of Culinary Art and free Adult Cooking classes with Brian Mellor. With over 140 different food and drink exhibitors, it is a fabulous four hours of family fun for under £20.
The three-day festival will take place from the 16th - 18th April at Chester Racecourse. For more information and to book tickets go to:
